Tomajin Morikawa

Hi everyone. I’m currently undertaking an MSc in Japanese Studies, but my academic interests are diverse. For my undergraduate studies I initially concentrated in International Relations at Doshisha University (Japan) and spent a year at U.C. Berkeley (U.S.) as an exchange student. A year after returning to Doshisha I transferred to Amherst College (U.S.), where I found my current interests in continental philosophy, political theory, and anthropology. As Academic Officer I hope to foster an environment where people can share and pursue their intellectual passions—whether it be through communal study sessions, three-minute thesis competitions, academic symposiums, speaker events, and etcetera. Feel free to tell me about your academic interests anytime as I’m always interested in listening!
